School Programs
Would your school like a music program that teaches as well as entertains?

If you are looking for a program that exposes the kids to the music and instruments from different cultures and teaches as well as entertains read on.

The kids will be exposed to Folk, bluegrass and other styles of Traditional American Music along with the songs of Scotland, England and Ireland. Clapping, singing, interaction and fun are a large part of the event. They will learn some the stories and histories behind some of the songs. Did you know that much of what we consider "American Folk Music" actually came from those who immigrated from the United Kingdom?

If you'd like, the program can be modified to include music and dance of the American Indian. (Perhaps a Thanksgiving Program?)

The kids will see and hear songs and tunes played on the traditionally used to make the music. These instruments may include guitar, Autoharp, Bouzouki along with percussion instruments like Bodhran, spoons and limberjacks.  Some of these instruments are "beginner friendly" and can be tried by the kids.

This program works better with smaller groups as opposed to a large assembly and is appropriate for grades Pre-K and up. The smaller the numbers of kids the more chance they have to get involved and be a part of the event. Each presentation lasts about 45 minutes but can be extended or shortened to fit you schedule. I can also do a scaled down program for the younger ones.

The program is affordable. You can have a full morning of music for much less than you would pay for other events.
